Martin is recognized within the Universal family, and within the industry, for his expertise in business aviation. This is especially valuable given the constantly evolving landscape of the scheduler and dispatcher roles within business aviation.
Martin’s experience, both military and civilian environments, allows him to combine his experience and knowledge, and apply it to scenarios in the classroom and in the real world. His background in weather and flight planning has allowed him to build and develop an aircraft dispatching program that has graduated hundreds of students who perform dispatching functions around the world.

With a career in the business aviation industry beginning in 2002, Juan Muniz has distinguished himself as a subject matter expert in international regulations, with a particular focus on the complex regulatory landscapes of the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe. Throughout his career, his deep expertise has been instrumental in helping operators secure hundreds of essential permits, clearances and authorizations from various government agencies across the globe, solidifying his reputation as an industry leader dedicated to ensuring regulatory compliance.
Building on his extensive regulatory knowledge, Muniz is also a recognized speaker at key industry events worldwide, where he shares insights on a range of topics. His expertise not only covers geographic regions but also extends to the critical area of sustainability, including emissions trading schemes and carbon offsets. His professional journey includes over 22 years at Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., where he progressed through roles such as Global Regulatory Services Lead and GRS Product Owner. He now continues his career as the Manager of Regulatory Services at World Fuel Services.
