This publication is intended to educate NBAA members about the most common aircraft ownership and operating options available today and to provide some rules of thumb to help them identify the best option for their on-demand air transportation needs.

The various aircraft operating and ownership options, including whole aircraft ownership, fractional aircraft ownership and aircraft charter, including flight cards and block charter programs, each have specific advantages and disadvantages. This publication reviews each option and suggests guidelines to select which option is best suited to a particular travel profile and annualized hourly aircraft usage

The resource concludes with a case study containing detailed cost evaluations.
