Association members should be aware that the FAA Registry in Oklahoma City, OK, will be closed all day Thursday, Jan. 1 for the federal holiday. In previous years, the FAA has also closed the registry office early on New Years Eve, but has yet to make an official announcement.

The office is scheduled to reopen on Friday, Jan. 2.

The FAA Registry issues aircraft registration certificates and processes documents, such as liens, which affect title to or interest in aircraft, engines, propellers and spare parts. The registry also reserves and assigns all N-number identification marks for U.S. civil aircraft.

“NBAA members should be aware of these closures and ensure any items that need to be submitted by the end of 2025, are received in the office before midday Dec. 31,” said NBAA Senior Vice President Safety, Security, Sustainability and International Affairs Doug Carr. “The closure could affect aircraft transactions scheduled for year-end or early January, making advance submission of required documentation especially important.”
