More than 115 business aircraft professionals involved in aircraft transactional matters are already registered for NBAA’s 2014 Business Aircraft Finance, Registration & Legal Conference, which is set for Feb. 5 to 7 at the Loews Don CeSar Hotel St. Pete Beach, FL.
The conference features two full days of educational content, with topics including an update on the Cape Town Convention, challenges in importing and exporting aircraft, structuring aircraft transactions and more. The conference chairs – Michael Amalfitano from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Eileen Gleimer from Crowell & Moring, and Frank Polk from McAfee & Taft – have, once again, created a program designed to engage the audience and spark discussion.
This event will open on Feb. 5, with a keynote presentation by Nick Popovich, who recently starred in the television show “Airplane Repo” and was featured in Smithsonian’s Air & Space magazine, followed by a networking reception.
Education sessions include: the “FAA’s New Policy on Non-Citizen Trusts and U.S. Registration: Policy, Law and Practice,” “CCYA: Closing and Covering Your Assets, Closing Deals in Uncertain Times,” “Significant Changes to the International Registry,” “Lease and Loan Documentation: A Closer Look,” “Membership Programs: An Alternative to Owning Aircraft” and more.
“The Business Aircraft Finance, Registration & Legal Conference provides a unique opportunity for attorneys, financiers, flight department managers and other business aviation executives to stay up to date on timely business topics,” said Mike Nichols, NBAA’s vice president, operational excellence and professional development.
“This distinctive group of industry experts will discuss, among other important topics, the FAA’s new policy on Non-Citizen Trusts, changes to the Cape Town International Registry (including a new closing room) and developments in business aircraft finance and current market trends,” Nichols added. “In addition to high-caliber educational content, the conference features networking events that will enable attendees to develop new business relationships and strengthen existing ones.”
