The world of air ambulance flying is different: on clear days, a Mayo Clinic helicopter – with a pilot, a flight nurse and a flight paramedic onboard – can dispatch in about eight minutes.

First in Flight: Leavitt Group July 17, 2017: After working 20 years in Cedar City, UT, Mark Leavitt knows the dusty stretch of Interstate 15 to Las Vegas well. Two airline flights a day leave Cedar City for Salt Lake City, so it was often quicker to drive three hours to Las Vegas and catch a flight from McCarran International Airport when he needed to travel. As a pilot, he makes the trip to Las Vegas less often, but still goes every other year for NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).
Wire by Flying: Tucknott Electric June 1, 2017: In 1972, Tucknott was 29 years old. He had spent four years apprenticing as an electrician, project manager and estimator before founding Tucknott Electric with just one employee. Two years later, he learned to fly, and soon started piloting his Beechcraft Baron to contract jobs in Stockton, Fresno and other cities throughout California.
Colorado Connection: Flagship Food Group April 1, 2017: As a maker of salsas, sauces and prepared meals, Flagship Food Group has a manufacturing plant in Albuquerque and sources green chiles from the Hatch Valley in New Mexico. The company also has marketing offices and warehouses in Boise, Indianapolis, Las Vegas and Minneapolis. Central to all those sites is Denver – a two-hour flight in Holland’s Eclipse 500 from any of Flagship’s U.S. locations.

No Compromises Leads to Six Decades of Safe Flying: Kroger Company April 1, 2014: The Kroger Co. flight department, which in 2013 received NBAA's 60 Year Safe Flying Achievement Award, says its constant pursuit of best practices is just one example of its commitment to safety. Since the company's founding in 1883, it has grown from a single store to almost a $100 billion company.

C&S Wholesale Grocers Is at the Heart of Business Aviation Nov. 15, 2011: Keene, NH-based member company C&S Wholesale Grocers is one of the largest wholesale food distribution companies in the country. C&S has been involved in humanitarian flying for years, and is a member of Corporate Angel Network, Sky Hope Network and AERObridge, through which the company dispatches its aircraft to help those in need.
Honeywell Makes History With First Biofueled Flight Sept. 12, 2011: Honeywell, an NBAA Member Company, made history on June 18 as is the first to fly overseas on a business aircraft powered by biofuel. Their Gulfstream took off from Morristown, NJ for a flight to Paris and during this transatlantic biofuel flight, the G450’s right-side Rolls-Royce engine was powered by a 50 percent blend of biofuel and Jet-A.
