March 22, 2010

Dear NBAA Member,

On behalf of the NBAA Board of Directors, I’m honored to announce that your Association has been chosen as the National Aviation Hall of Fame’s (NAHF’s) 2010 Milton Caniff Spirit of Flight Award recipient. The award will be presented on Friday, July 16 at the NAHF’s President’s Dinner, which will be held in the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force (NMUSAF) on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH – The Birthplace of Aviation. The President’s Dinner is part of the NAHF’s Enshrinement Weekend when, on Saturday, July 17, Clay Lacy will be enshrined at the Hall of Fame’s Enshrinement Dinner & Ceremony along, with NASA astronaut and moonwalker, Alan Bean; aircraft lighting inventor, the late Warren G. Grimes; and arctic aviation pioneer, the late Noel Wien.

NBAA will be producing a video on business aviation that will premier at the President’s Dinner. In addition, a panel of key business aviation dignitaries, moderated by television legend David Hartman, will discuss their views on the industry and NBAA.

We’d like to share this special evening with NBAA Members. Please note, however, that seating is limited. If you wish to attend, become a sponsor in support of this recognition or discover more about the entire NAHF Enshrinement Weekend, or contact Cee John at (937) 256-0944 extension 10 or cjohn@nationalaviation.org In addition to the NAHF and the NMUSAF, Dayton boasts a variety of significant aviation and Wright Brothers heritage sites and attractions.

We hope you’ll join the aviation community at this uniquely historic venue as NBAA is recognized with this prestigious honor.

Sincerely,
Ed Bolen,
President and CEO,
