Dear NBAA Member,

As Hurricane Dorian threatens the Florida coast, NBAA is activating the Humanitarian Emergency Response Operator (HERO) Database.

The HERO Database was established to compile a list of aircraft and volunteers in the business aviation community for disaster-response efforts. Aircraft operators are encouraged to register their ability to support qualified relief missions now.

Learn more about NBAA’s HERO Database

NBAA has developed a strong network of relief organizations best able to utilize the unique capabilities of business aircraft.

We welcome aircraft and capabilities of every shape and size. Operators are under no obligation to accept a relief request by registering their interest. Relief requests may come from different organization specializing in unique relief efforts.

Hurricane Dorian is expected to make landfall on Tuesday. NBAA’s Air Traffic Services will be providing regular updates on the storm’s impact on airports, ATC equipment, routes and services. View NBAA Hurricane Dorian resource page.

With your support, we hope to have a robust set of volunteer aircraft available once the hurricane passes. Please direct any questions about the HERO database or our relief efforts to hero@nbaa.org.

Thank you for your continuing support and volunteer efforts!

Sincerely,

Douglas Carr
Vice President, Regulatory & International Affairs
