By the Numbers: GA Fleet by Aircraft Type
The FAA’s annual General Aviation and Part 135 Activity Survey is underway, seeking data on calendar year 2020. This survey is the only federal source of information on the U.S. fleet, the number of hours flown and the ways GA aircraft are used. NBAA urges operators, if asked, to provide relevant data so that business aviation activity is properly represented. Below are figures from the last survey that show the number of piston-powered airplanes, turboprops, jets and rotorcraft in the fleet during 2019.
