This workshop will provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) and safety management systems. Slated for March 17, the day after the 2022 NBAA International Operators Conference, to be held March 14-16 in Los Angeles, CA, this workshop is designed to help participants confidently start the IS-BAO implementation process or prepare for a safety audit.
Essentials in Scheduling and Dispatch for Business Aviation
This two-day course is designed for business aviation professionals who currently have a dispatcher’s license and wish to update their knowledge and skills with the latest information about the duties of an aircraft dispatcher. The course, which also is open to advanced-level schedulers considering enrollment in a dispatch license program, will cover topics related to federal aviation regulations, advanced planning, preflight requirements, flight planning and inflight support considerations for dispatchers. To be held April 3-4 in San Diego, CA, the course will be offered in conjunction with the 2022 NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference (SDC2022), which will be held April 5-7 in San Diego.
Safety Management Systems for Business Aviation
This course will provide a thorough review of safety management systems (SMS), including benefits, safety policy and objectives, safety risk management, safety assurance and safety promotion. Both FAA and ICAO guidance will be reviewed. By fully understanding SMS, participants will be able to help develop a program for their operation or support an existing SMS.
