Family-Friendly Policies in Business Aviation

NBAA welcomed a recent FAA aeromedical policy update encouraging pilots and air traffic controllers to seek counseling and mental health support early and without fear that receiving talk therapy would jeopardize their medical certification, marking an important shift in the agency’s approach to mental wellness. 

NBAA welcomed passage by the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation of legislation to increase access to mental health resources and treatments for air traffic controllers, pilots and others.

The Department of Transportation released its 2026 testing rates for safety-sensitive positions covered by mandatory drug and alcohol testing programs, and the rates for 2026 remain unchanged from previous years.
