Projected Bizav New Hires Needed 2025-2034

Over the next nine years, replacing retiring business aviation professionals while meeting projected industry growth will be challenging.

An infographic projects the need for new business aviation (Bizav) pilots and maintenance technicians (AMTs) by 2034. For pilots, from a 2025 baseline of 59,000, there will be a need for 33,000 new pilots, comprising 27,000 for replacement and 6,000 for growth. For maintainers, from a 2025 baseline of 62,000, there will be a need for 69,000 new AMTs, comprising 42,000 for replacement and 27,000 for growth.
