Bird-strikes are reported more than 14,000 times a year, and experts say that there are even more incidents that go unreported. “The most important thing pilots can do, if they do have a bird-strike is to report it. That involves getting online and filling out an FAA Form 5200” said Gary Cooke, head of the NBAA bird-strike working group.
