Breaking Patterns is Key to Preventing Pilot Human Error

In business aviation, pilots have to be smart, so how could two trained instructors flying together run out of gas mid-flight? Pat Daily, from Convergent Performance, attributes it to a person’s “error fingerprint,” something he says we all have. “Sometimes, even if they have that sense of unease, they will kind of bluster their way through it saying it’s never going to happen, because it hasn’t happened to them before.” Daily will address this issue at an NBAA Professional Development Program course, Sept. 12 and 13 in Washington, DC.
