Podcast: Fostering a Culture of Leadership

April 6, 2020

Leadership remains an important topic for those working in business aviation, and there are multiple paths to leadership in our industry. But how can aviation managers and directors foster a culture of leadership in their organization or flight operation, particularly through challenging times? “You need to keep the big picture in view,” advises industry analyst Chris Broyhill, author of Business Aviation Leadership: From the Traits to the Trenches. “You need to communicate the big picture to your people in a way that’s understandable, and use your own suite of skills to keep them focused on it and motivate them toward it.”

In this episode of NBAA Flight Plan, host Rob Finfrock speaks with:

  • Chris Broyhill, industry analyst and former aviation director at two Fortune 100 companies
  • Candace Covington, senior director of aviation for a Fortune 200 company
  • Jad Donaldson, director of aviation, Harley-Davidson Motor Company
  • Kellie Rittenhouse, CAM, director of aviation, Hangar Aviation Management
  • Guido Visconti, director of aviation and chief pilot for a Fortune 50 company
