NBAA Continued Advocacy Efforts in 2016

This year was one that saw a battle over proposals for creating a privatized ATC system funded by user fees - a concept that NBAA opposed, given the potential impact on the towns and communities that rely on business aviation. NBAA also continued its work to keep airports such as California’s Santa Monica Municipal Airport (SMO) and New York’s East Hampton Airport (HTO) open to the entrepreneurs and companies relying on business aviation. The industry also paid tribute to Bob Hoover, Arnold Palmer and John Glenn, for their many contributions to aviation.
