The FAA is proposing restrictions on unscheduled access to the three main NY-area airports: LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York, and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in New Jersey. “In our view the FAA has failed to justify why unscheduled access should be subject to such substantial reductions,” said Doug Carr, NBAA’s vice president of regulatory and international affairs. The comment period on this proposal runs through May 8, and Carr is urging NBAA Members and others potentially impacted by this change to submit comments opposing these restrictions.
