Podcast: An Important Pause for Industry Safety

April 21, 2025

The National Pause for General Aviation Safety is an industry-wide initiative, supported by NBAA, which encourages pilots and operators to take the time to revisit their approach to safety and proactively address complacency, communication breakdowns and other potential issues affecting our industry. “This program is a choice,” says NBAA Safety Committee member Tim Wade. “You’re doing it for more than just a metric, more than just a number. It’s truly for improving your organization in the industry overall.”

In this episode of NBAA’s “Flight Plan,” host Rob Finfrock speaks with NBAA Safety Committee members:

  • Whitney Bohac, chief operating officer at Crewise
  • Tim Wade, director of environmental health and safety for Flexjet

The NBAA Flight Plan podcast, which ran from 2009 to 2025, provided an overview of important developments affecting NBAA members, and the association’s work to advocate for their interest. The archive of past episodes will remain available for your enjoyment. Please note that no new episodes will be released.
