Podcast: First Steps Toward Environmental Sustainability

July 18, 2022

Business aviation has a long-term commitment to make the industry more sustainable. While many flight operations already have implemented programs to reduce their carbon emissions and other waste products, the process can seem daunting for those that haven’t yet started. Three members of NBAA’s Environmental Sustainability Subcommittee offer tips on how to begin the journey toward sustainability. “No. 1:  There’s no magic bullet,” advises Scott Cutshall with Clay Lacy Aviation. “No. 2:  You don’t have to do everything tomorrow. If everybody in the industry starts doing something, the collective impact is going to be enormous.”

In this episode of NBAA’s “Flight Plan,” host Rob Finfrock speaks with:

  • Nancy Bsales, COO, 4AIR
  • Scott Cutshall, CAM, senior vice president, development and sustainability, Clay Lacy Aviation
  • Scott Evans, director of demonstration, airborne customer support and corporate flight operations, Gulfstream Aerospace
