How prepared is your flight department for an emergency? Pete Agur, founder and chairman of safety consulting firm VanAllen Group, said it’s important for flight departments to have emergency response plans (ERPs), not only in case of accidents involving fatalities, but any unusual situations. These could include, severe turbulence, losing a wheel in the mud or a bird strike, Agur said, adding it’s important to be prepared for any scenario.
