New technology and procedures are coming online at the FAA’s Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC) in Washington DC, and will spread throughout the entire National Airspace System to help manage aircraft. “The FAA has a robust amount of tools, however, they’re consistently trying to find ways to both accommodate the increase in traffic, as well as increase efficiencies with automation and with better tools,” said Dean Snell, manager, NBAA Air Traffic Services (ATS).
