NBAA’s Tribute to Arnold Palmer: Business Aviation’s Steadfast Champion
In 2008, when U.S. automakers were criticized for traveling to Washington, DC on company airplanes looking for a government bailout, the late golf legend Arnold Palmer stepped forward to defend business aviation. Using business aircraft, he said, "is the single most productive thing I have done. It's given me the opportunity to compete more effectively in golf and in business." NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen had a chance to sit down with Palmer shortly before his passing on Sept. 25.
