Washington, DC, February 16, 2012 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced today that Exhibitor Chalets for the 2012 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2012) have now been sold out, another sign that this year’s event – to be held March 27-29, 2012 at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport – is shaping up to be the premier business aviation event and meeting venue in the region.

“Due to limited space on the ramp, NBAA offered for the first time a standardized structure and layout for OEM exhibitors at ABACE2012,” explained Joe Hart, NBAA Senior Manager, Regional Forums & Static Displays. “Aircraft manufacturers have reserved these chalets to provide hospitality to their prospective customers, in close proximity to their aircraft on display.”

Located alongside the nearly sold out ABACE Static Display of Aircraft, each chalet measures 10-meters-by-10-meters, offering a climate-controlled welcoming area, meeting room, and casual seating for show attendees. Additional space is available for chalet hosts and visitors in reserved patio areas, which have added seating. Food and beverage service are included with each chalet, along with wireless internet service. English and Chinese translators will be on-hand to assist attendees.

Momentum for ABACE2012 has continued to grow as opening day draws near. As previously announced by NBAA, all remaining Exhibitor space has been sold out, both on the show floor and in an Exhibitor Pavilion, adjacent to the main hangar, which was added to accommodate the significant demand. In addition, some of the best-known brands in business aviation have signed up for ABACE2012 sponsorships, giving those companies an outstanding visibility opportunity with top business leaders, decision-makers and buyers from China and across the Asian region.

U.S. Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary John D. Porcari is scheduled to be among the featured speakers at the ABACE2012 Opening Session, and renowned publisher and commentator Steve Forbes, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media, will serve as the first-ever keynote speaker for the March 27 gala dinner.

ABACE2012 is being presented in partnership with the Shanghai Airport Authority and co-hosted by NBAA, the Asian Business Aviation Association and the Shanghai Exhibition Company. The event will include over 100 exhibits in the new Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre, with a full program of educational sessions, moderated by experts on the Asian region, scheduled to take place throughout the event.
