WASHINGTON, DC, June 4, 2007 – The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced that this year’s European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2007), held in Geneva, Switzerland from May 22 to 24, concluded as the biggest and best in the show’s seven-year history.

This year’s EBACE – the only major European event focused solely on business aviation – had a record number of Attendees, Exhibitors and aircraft on display. The Attendee total reached 11,267 this year, a 15-percent jump over last year’s total of 9,743 Attendees. The Exhibitor count reached 354, up 18 percent over last year’s total of 292 Exhibitors. There were 1,423 booth spaces at the event this year, up 15 percent from last year’s total of 1,206 booth spaces. A record-setting 61 business aircraft were displayed, with 56 business aircraft on the Static Display at Geneva International Airport and five aircraft (including four helicopters) at Geneva PALEXPO.

The three-day event featured several Information Sessions designed to promote safety and operational excellence in the European general aviation community. A highlight was the presentation of the EBACE2007 European Business Aviation Award to Judith Moreton, managing director of Bombardier Skyjet International, and Mark Wilson, chief executive of the British Business and General Aviation Association, for their outstanding contributions to European business aviation.

“Once again, EBACE has managed to surpass even our highest expectations,” said EBAA CEO Brian Humphries. “The positive feedback we have received from both Exhibitors and Attendees, along with the growing support of the business aviation community, is incredible. We are delighted to have this kind of momentum as we move forward in the years ahead.”

“EBACE remains a flagship forum for the European business aviation community and creates valuable opportunities to demonstrate what business aviation is all about,” added NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “Record-breaking attendance and Exhibitor participation demonstrate the strength and diversity of the community here – one which has become a major contributor to economic growth and investment across the globe. NBAA and EBAA join in thanking everyone involved with this year’s event, and we look forward to our next gathering here in 2008.”

The next EBACE event is scheduled for May 20 through 22, 2008, at Geneva PALEXPO and Geneva International Airport. EBAA and NBAA will host EBACE in Geneva through 2012.
