Washington, DC, July 26, 2013 – In addition to addressing the current needs of the industry, the future of business aviation will also be in focus at the National Business Aviation Association’s 2013 National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2013) coming to Las Vegas, NV in October.

“Careers in Business Aviation Day” will return to NBAA2013 on Oct. 24, providing middle school, high school and college students with information about the business aviation industry, and offering perspectives on the opportunities the industry may offer them.

Students age 12 or older who have expressed interest in aviation, along with their teachers and chaperones, will be able to attend NBAA2013 free of charge that day, and will have the opportunity to mingle with about 25,000 attendees – including flight department personnel, aircraft manufacturers, flight crews and business leaders.

These students will also be able to interact with hundreds of aviation professionals and university representatives, and will learn how to turn a passion for aviation into a rewarding and fulfilling career.

“Business aviation offers near-limitless career opportunities,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “However, many current industry professionals note that they were not aware of these possibilities when they initially considered their career paths. It’s vital that we educate the future generations of aviation professionals about our industry, and attending the NBAA Convention is a great way to learn all there is to know about business aviation.”

In the coming weeks, NBAA will announce seminar topics and presenters at: http://www.nbaa.org/2013/careerday.

A discounted student registration option is available for students ages 18 or older who would like to attend NBAA2013 on multiple days. Complimentary registration is also available for students attending University Aviation Association colleges and universities.

Business aviation professionals from across the country and around the globe will meet in Las Vegas, NV on Oct. 22 to 24 for NBAA2013, where they will enjoy more than 1,000 exhibits displayed across 1 million square feet of floor space, as well as the two static displays of aircraft. More than 100 education sessions will address topics of interest to all attendees, from those considering the use of an airplane to support their business needs, to those who have long used an airplane to help their businesses succeed.
