Washington, DC, January 11, 2002 – The Board of Directors of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has elected John E. “Jeff” Frank of AT&T Wireless Services Corp. to the Board. Frank fills the position vacated by Joe Sasser, who retired from the Board in December after nine years of dedicated service to the NBAA Board and its Membership.
Jeff Frank has had a 37-year flying career in military and corporate aviation. For 18 years he held a variety of staff and management positions with the Mobil Oil Corporation, including aviation advisor-fixed wing and chief pilot. In 1996, he accepted the position of aviation manager for a new flight department with the Trillium Corporation, a private corporation with international interests in real-estate development, property management, forest management and agriculture. In 2001, he was hired as chief pilot for the newly formed corporation AT&T Wireless.
Frank is type-rated in the G4, G1159, CE650, DA20 and CE500. He flew the F-102 fighter interceptor for 10 years and the HC-130 search-and-rescue aircraft for eight years. Almost 2,000 hours of his 12,000 hours flying time were amassed in the F-102.
In the past, Frank has served as both Vice Chairman and Chairman of the NBAA Airspace/Air Traffic Committee.
