Washington, DC, November 13, 2002 – Members of the media are cordially invited to attend the first annual LABACE (Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition) on March 12, 13, 14, 2003, in São Paulo, Brazil. The Associação Brasileira de Aviação Geral (ABAG), the only business aviation association in Latin America, and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) will jointly sponsor the event, the first of its kind in Latin America.

The economies of Latin America are poised for growth, and business aviation is the passport to link Latin American business with the world. In such a diverse region, nearly every facet of business aviation, from helicopters to corporate jets, is utilized as a business tool. LABACE2003 is positioned to become the most efficient annual gathering of Latin American business aviation buyers and sellers.

LABACE2003 will be held in Hall C of the Transamérica Expo Center, and various business aircraft will be on Static Display at Congonhas Airport, operated by Infraero.

The event also will feature Maintenance & Operations (M&O) Sessions hosted by manufacturers as well as Informational Sessions on a variety of business aviation issues.

Press Registration/Badges
Press badges, which are required to gain entry into the Exhibit Hall and all technical meetings, will be issued at no charge to editors, reporters and camera personnel. Press credentials may be obtained at the LABACE2003 Registration area in Hall C by presenting a business card or suitable identification. Members of the media may register in advance by completing the LABACE registration form online at www.labace.org and indicating membership in a press organization.

Press badges are available for pickup on-site at Press Registration; they will not be mailed to registrants in advance. If someone other than media from your organization wishes to attend LABACE2003, contact NBAA’s Deb Hanson at (202) 737-4484 or dhanson@nbaa.org for Delegate registration information. Inside Brazil, contact ABAG’s Adalberto Febeliano at +55-11-5032-2727 or febeliano@abag.org.br.

Press Room Hours and Facilities
The Press Room will open at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, one day before the official LABACE opening. The Press Room will be equipped with telephones, a computer, fax machine and other electronic hookups. Light snacks and beverages are provided throughout the day.

Press Conferences
Press conferences will be held at Hotel Transamérica beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12. A schedule of press conferences will be issued by mail and listed on the LABACE web site at www.labace.org in early March. A final listing will be posted in the Press Room on March 12. Press conferences are scheduled to give maximum coverage by the press without conflicts; only those press conferences scheduled through LABACE2003 will be listed. Exhibitors also may schedule invitation-only press events in hotels, at their booths, or at other locations, although we encourage use of official LABACE press facilities to avoid conflicting events.

The NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world’s largest display of civil aviation products and services.
