Washington, DC, September 13, 2002 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) 55th Annual Meeting & Convention, held on September 10 to 12 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, closed with a total of 27,785 Attendees viewing the products and services of a record 1,011 Exhibitors occupying approximately 900,000 square feet of exhibit space. In addition, there were 152 aircraft on Static Display at Orlando Executive Airport, including a record six never-before-displayed-at-a-show aircraft.

We anticipated 25,000 Attendees this year, so we’re very pleased with the success of the Convention,” said NBAA President Jack Olcott. “Exhibitors reported brisk activity both on the Show floor and at the Static Display with an impressive number of orders for new aircraft.

The record number of Seminars and Informational Sessions were very well-attended, particularly those emphasizing security issues,” noted Olcott.
