NBAA and The VanAllen Group to Conduct Emergency Response Planning Workshop in October

Washington, DC, September 20, 2000 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and The VanAllen Group together will offer an Emergency Response Planning Workshop designed to meet the needs of a wide range of companies, from large multi-aircraft flight departments to single aircraft operations. This NBAA Workshop, the first of its kind, will provide emergency preparation and planning information and help flight departments manage the difficult circumstances surrounding aircraft incidents and accidents.

  • A comprehensive emergency response plan document
  • A thorough exploration of the timeline and issues resulting from an event
  • A session on public relations and dealing with the media
  • An open dialogue with NTSB and FAA accident investigators
  • A planning session on how companies can develop their own plans, training and exercises.

Areas of focus include taking care of people involved, communicating internally and publicly, operational issues, and financial, legal and regulatory aspects. The Workshop is recommended for flight department members and representatives from corporate human resources, risk management, public relations, legal, security and finance departments.

The Emergency Response Planning Workshop will be held Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14, 2000, immediately following the NBAA 53rd Annual Meeting & Convention in New Orleans. The fee is $550 for NBAA Members and $675 for non-Members and will include admittance to the NBAA Convention.
