Washington, DC, August 4, 2004 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) will host the First Annual Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2005) from August 9 through 11, 2005, in Shanghai, China. Modeled after successful NBAA-sponsored events in the United States, Europe and Latin America, ABACE2005 will be the first major Asian exhibition focused solely on business aviation in Asia, an emerging market with great potential for business aircraft and related products and services. Founded in 1947, NBAA is the world’s leading advocate for business aviation.

ABACE2005 will feature indoor exhibits at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center and a Static Display of business aircraft at Hongqiao International Airport. It also will offer Informational Sessions on a variety of business aviation issues of interest to operators, non-operators, regulators and decision-makers from Asia and companies from the United States conducting business in that region.

“We are looking forward to this opportunity to address the needs of the expanding Asian business aviation market,” noted Kathleen M. Blouin, NBAA vice president, conventions & seminars. “We look forward to an informative and exciting exhibition that will draw participants from countries throughout Asia. We’ll work with government and industry to address challenges and opportunities to make it easier to operate in Asia. The potential there is staggering.”
