NBAA Announces Promotions for Four Staff Members

WASHINGTON, DC, May 14, 2007 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced the promotion of four staff members.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce these promotions and recognize the contributions of these four men and women to NBAA and the business aviation community,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “Whether expanding our educational capabilities, helping us with policies and programs that will secure our industry into the future or standing on the frontlines of the operations of our aviation system, their new assignments reflect their experience, talent and commitment, and will strengthen NBAA’s ability to serve the needs of our Members.”

Mike Nichols has been promoted from director, tax, economics & operational services to the position of vice president, operations, education & economics. In his new role, Nichols will direct NBAA’s programs, policy positions and educational efforts related to tax, regulatory, finance and risk management.

Jo Damato has been promoted from senior manager, air traffic operations to director, operations & educational development. In her new position, Damato will be focused on enhancing and further developing the Association’s operationally oriented education initiatives to Members via distance-learning technologies.

Ernie Stellings has been promoted from assistant manager to manager at NBAA’s General Aviation (GA) Desk, located at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Air Traffic Control System Command Center. Stellings’ promotion reflects his commitment to first-class Member service and leadership on challenging airspace capacity issues.

Sue Ashley has been promoted from specialist to assistant manager at the GA Desk. Ashley’s promotion is in recognition of her demonstrated ability to work effectively with federal air traffic control officials on airspace management issues.
