Washington, DC, February 12, 2002 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has awarded a total of $25,000 in scholarship funds to six schedulers/dispatchers who seek to advance their professional development. The winners of the 2001 NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship are: Christopher Algee of Executive Jet Aviation, Cindy Conk of Avaya Aviation, Jennifer Dimarzio of Cape Air Nantucket Airlines, Elizabeth Anne Farrar of Aviation Charter Services, Dorette Kerr of Deere & Co. and Jamie Wetz of Alpha Flying, Inc. The scholarships were presented to recipients in January during the NBAA 13th Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference.

Since the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship program’s inception five years ago, the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Committee has awarded more than $80,000 in scholarship funds to business aviation professionals thanks to the generous support of the following corporate sponsors: ExxonMobil and the Avitats, Signature Flight Support, Million Air, Air Routing, and Universal Weather and Aviation. The Committee acknowledged these sponsors in January at the Conference with a commemorative plaque for their continued support of the scholarship program.

The Committee also announced at the Conference that ChevronTexaco will become a corporate sponsor and contribute $5,000 towards the Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship, which brings the total amount of scholarship funds available in 2002 to $30,000.

Applications for the 2002 Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship soon will be available on the Web at www.nbaa.org/scholarships. For further details, contact NBAA Director, Operations Jay Evans at (202) 783-9353 or jevans@nbaa.org.
