Washington, DC, May 7, 2001 – In the coming months, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) will be hosting several BASICS programs in cities across the United States. BASICS, which stands for Business Aviation Seminar for Information, Concepts and Solutions, are half-day-long learning sessions designed for busy flight departments.

Flight department managers are encouraged to attend the BASICS program. Participants have the option of attending morning or afternoon sessions to discuss topics of relevance to flight departments, such as personnel management, tax issues, scheduling, budgets, maintenance, or communications with senior management. Breakfast and lunch will be served before the morning and afternoon programs, respectively.

There is no charge for an NBAA Member Company employee to attend a half-day BASICS program. Members who attend receive complimentary registration to NBAA’s 54th Annual Meeting & Convention in New Orleans, September 18 to 20, 2001. Non-Members must pay a $99 registration fee, which includes complimentary one-year NBAA Membership.

The first two BASICS programs in 2001 were held on April 28 in Orlando, FL and May 4 in Des Moines, IA. Upcoming BASICS program dates/locations include:

  • Charlotte, NC on May 12 (one morning session, one afternoon session)
  • Teterboro, NJ at the Renaissance Hotel on May 16 (one morning session, one afternoon session)
  • St. Louis, MO at the Hilton Gardens on June 1 (one morning session, one afternoon session)
