Washington, DC, June 29, 2000 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is pleased to announce the six winners of the 2000 Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship. This year’s recipients are Lisa M. Balch of Aircraft Dispatching Services, Judy Buff of First Union Corporation, Sharon Martin of Berwind Group, Darcey Anne Oliver of AMR Combs/Signature Flight Support, Mark Taylor of Million Air Dallas, and Robert B. Thomas of Tudor Investment Corporation.
The Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship program is organized by the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Committee, and the winners of the 2000 scholarships were introduced during the Committee’s 11th Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference in February. Sponsored by Exxon Company and the Avitats, Signature Flight Support, Million Air and Air Routing, grants totaling $20,000 were awarded.
In 2001, Universal Weather & Aviation also will contribute $5,000 toward the Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarships, which means that the total amount of funds available in 2001 will be $25,000.
