Washington, DC, Oct. 4, 2021 – Business aviation’s long-standing sustainability agenda will be in full focus with a new luncheon panel of industry leaders, to be held on the opening day of the 2021 National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas, NV.
The luncheon panel is part of the 2021 Business Aviation Sustainability Summit, taking place in conjunction with the convention. The session, taking place Oct. 12 from noon – 1:30 p.m. (PT), will be moderated by acclaimed aviation and aerospace correspondent, director and producer Miles O’Brien. Panelists will be:
- Brian Sherbacow, President and CEO, Alder Fuels – Sherbacow is a recognized pioneer in the development of sustainable aviation fuels derived from renewable feedstocks with lower carbon emissions.
- Omer Bar-Yohay, Co-Founder & CEO, Eviation Aircraft – Eviation is spearheading the development of electric aircraft with Alice, the world’s first all-electric commuter aircraft, which aims to make electric flight the sustainable, affordable and quiet solution for regional travel.
- Jon Gordon, Co-founder, Universal Hydrogen – The company is working to make hydrogen-powered flight a near-term reality by transporting gaseous hydrogen in modular capsules over the existing freight network from green production sites to airports around the world.
“Our industry is moving faster than ever toward a future that is safe, secure and sustainable in flight,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “This landmark session will offer perspectives from the people who are shaping that sustainability agenda.”
The event will also include a presentation of the National Aeronautic Association’s (NAA’s) first Sustainable Wings certifications.
This lunchtime discussion will be held just ahead of an afternoon program – part of the 2021 Business Aviation Sustainability Summit – devoted to business aviation’s sustainable future. View the program.
NBAA-BACE runs Oct. 12-14 in the new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, with an expansive Outdoor Aircraft Display at nearby Henderson Executive Airport (HND). More information is available at nbaa.org/bace.
