ROCHESTER, NY, July 27, 2006 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has recognized the flight department for Eastman Kodak for 60 years and over 100,000 hours of accident-free flight.

“Safety is the number-one priority for business aviation,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “For six decades, Eastman Kodak’s flight department has set the standard for safe flight, and NBAA is proud to honor the company’s flight department with NBAA’s Corporate Business Flying Safety Award. We wish them many years of continued safe flying.”

Eastman Kodak’s flight department, which is based in Rochester, acquired its first aircraft, a DC-3, from World War II surplus stock on November 30, 1945. The first passenger trip was flown on July 29, 1946 – 60 years ago this week.

In addition to the DC-3, Eastman Kodak’s flight department has operated a number of aircraft over the decades, including Gulfstream, Canadair and Bombardier airplanes. The flight department currently operates a Canadair CL-604 and a Bombardier BD-700 Global Express.

The flight department is composed of 18 people supporting the two aircraft, which provide for employee travel to national and global destinations. NBAA’s award, a commemorative plaque, notes that Eastman Kodak has flown safely for 60 years and 111,071 hours of flight. The award was presented yesterday to Eastman Kodak Company Chairman and Chief Executive Antonio M. Perez and Eastman Kodak Director of Aviation Sydney A. Baker.

NBAA will recognize five other companies for achieving more than 60 years of safe flying at the Association’s Annual Meeting & Convention in Orlando, FL, in October.
