Washington, DC, November 18, 2005 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has hired association marketing veteran Connie Penne as its new Vice President, Membership Marketing. She will officially join NBAA on November 28, and will report to NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
Penne comes to NBAA with more than two decades of extensive experience in direct-response marketing, strategic planning, database marketing and member relationship management.
Most recently, Penne served as Director of Member Data & Strategic Services with AARP, where she was responsible for a marketing database of 58 million members and prospects. There, she led a direct-response marketing function that resulted in increased acquisition and retention of AARP members.
“Connie is a proven marketing professional, whose expertise has strengthened Membership programs for associations and large companies alike,” said Bolen. “She is a great addition to our leadership team and I know that NBAA will be better able to serve its Members with her aboard. Furthermore, as the business aviation community is transformed by new technological and commercial innovations, Connie’s knowledge of how to reach specific market segments will become increasingly important.”
Prior to her service at AARP, Penne served in various leadership roles as Director of Database Marketing responsible for managing database and e-marketing programs for large national and international clients.
Penne holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Creative Writing from Houghton College, Houghton, New York and is a member of the Direct Marketing Association.
