Washington, DC, April 2, 2003 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) invites members of the business aviation community to celebrate the achievements of past and present aircraft maintenance technicians at the NBAA Maintenance Management Conference, May 17 through 21 in Charlotte, NC. This World Flight 2003 Centennial of Aviation Maintenance event also will honor Charles E. Taylor, mechanic and engine builder for the Wright Flyer and the “Father of Aviation Maintenance.”
The NBAA Maintenance Management Conference is the only event that provides current and developing maintenance managers the opportunity to learn information and solutions about the latest issues affecting the business aviation maintenance community today. This event will take place in conjunction with the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s World Flight 2003, which will host a variety of Centennial of Aviation Maintenance events in Charlotte, NC, from May 11 to 21, 2003. The goals of World Flight 2003 are to recognize the role played by aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs) in providing general aviation, commercial aviation and the military with the safest aircraft in the world and to introduce the public to the many career opportunities available in the aviation maintenance industry.
The NBAA Maintenance Management Conference will commence at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 with the thrill and excitement of The Winston NASCAR All-Star Race, where AMTs will receive special recognition. Sunday, May 18, will provide more networking opportunities as Attendees gather for a daytime social event and an evening Welcome Reception.
