Individuals Will Attend NBAA Leadership Conference on February 27–28 in San Antonio, TX

WASHINGTON, DC, February 15, 2008 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced that four individuals have been selected by the Association’s Corporate Aviation Management Committee as recipients of the 2008 Corporate Aviation Management (CAM) Scholarship. Each scholarship includes a value equivalent to $1,600 to cover expenses associated with attendance at NBAA’s 2008 Leadership Conference, taking place on February 27 and 28 in San Antonio, TX. Attendance at this Conference promotes the professional development and leadership skills of individuals seeking careers in flight department management.
The CAM Scholarship, now in its fourth year, is sponsored by NBAA, Pentastar Aviation, Summit Solutions, LLC and The VanAllen Group. Representatives from each of these entities will be present at the NBAA Leadership Conference. The recipients of the 2008 CAM Scholarship are as follows:
- Christopher Kohler, a junior in aviation business administration at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. An intern at DuPont Aviation, he currently has a 3.6 GPA and an instructor’s rating. Kohler also works part-time at FlightSafety International during the summer.
- Ted Pietrolaj, charter supervisor for DB Aviation, Inc in Trevor, WI, works to provide clients with an experience based on exemplary service, professionalism and safety. He aspires to share his passion for aviation coupled with service to his customers and coworkers.
- Emma Roberts, a junior at Lynn University, is an aviation management major who will begin flight training next semester to earn her private pilot’s license. Roberts hopes to gain insight into the real world of business aviation at the NBAA Leadership Conference.
- Miles Tishhauser, a student at Kishwaukee College in Genoa, IL, is an aviation flight major working to become a business aircraft pilot.
