ORLANDO, FL, October 19, 2006 – National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) President and CEO Ed Bolen was on-hand for the presentation of a donation check to the Corporate Angel Network made by Corporate Angel Award co-sponsors during the NBAA 59th Annual Meeting & Convention.
Tom Henricks, president, McGraw Hill’s Aviation Week, presented a donation for $22,000 to Peter Fleiss, Corporate Angel Network’s executive director. In addition to Bolen, also taking part in the presentation were Doug Hinzie, president, Chevron Global Aviation; Randall Greene, president and CEO, Safe Flight Instrument Corporation, and chairman of Corporate Angel Network; David Newell, director of aviation, VF Corporation; and Gerard Archambault, senior captain, Textron.
Corporate Angel Network is a national public charity that provides free air transportation for cancer patients traveling to treatment by using empty seats on routine corporate and fractional aircraft. The Corporate Angel Award, which is co-sponsored by NBAA, Chevron Global Aviation, Safe Flight Instrument Corporation and Business & Commercial Aviation, recognizes CAN participating corporations and flight departments for their exceptional contributions to cancer patients.
