NBAA Releases 2006 Calendar of Events, Professional Development Offerings

WASHINGTON, DC, January 9, 2006 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today released the Association’s calendar of events for 2006.

The Association provides a variety of ways for the business aviation community to exchange information, including the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention, the world’s largest business aviation trade show; international exhibitions in Europe and Latin America; several Business Aviation Regional Forums each year; and a comprehensive program of seminars and professional development courses for those involved in business aviation.

The following is NBAA’s Calendar of Events for 2006. Events featuring professional development courses or exams are marked with an asterisk, and those courses and exams are listed following the Calendar of Events.

NBAA Management Fundamentals for Flight Departments Workshop
Professional Development Program (PDP) Objective: AM2 & AM5 offered by NBAA – This two-day Workshop gives flight department managers key information about safe operations, regulatory compliance, basic management practices, budgeting and accounting, cost controls, vendor selection and tracking, records and reports, planning for the future and other issues.

NBAA Flight Operations Manual Workshop: Employing the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO)
Professional Development Program (PDP) Objective: AM1 – All flight departments should have an up-to-date flight operations manual setting forth policies and procedures designed to ensure safe and effective flight operations. This highly successful Workshop has been completely revised to incorporate the new IS-BAO. Topics covered include: safety management systems, standard operating procedures, flight operations, training, administration/organization, maintenance and international standards.
