Washington, DC, August 27, 2001 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) reports record numbers of Exhibitors and booth spaces for the NBAA 54th Annual Meeting & Convention, to be held September 18 to 20 in New Orleans.

For the first time ever, the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention has over 1,000 Exhibitors – 1,071 (up nearly 11 percent from 965 Exhibitors in 2000) – occupying a record 5,006 10-foot by 10-foot booth spaces (up over 5 percent from 4,750 in 2000),” said NBAA Vice President, Conventions & Seminars Kathleen Blouin. “NBAA will occupy nearly all of the one million square feet of exhibit space available to the Association at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Early registrations also are ahead of last year at this time. In addition, there will be more than 130 aircraft on Static Display at Lakefront Airport, making this the largest NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention ever.”

The New Orleans Local Committee, chaired by Jan Barden of Aviation Personnel, has done an excellent job preparing to host the event,” added Blouin.

We’re looking forward to another outstanding forum for business aviation operators and vendors,” noted NBAA President Jack Olcott. “In addition to the exhibits, we are providing Attendees with a record number of exciting Informational Sessions on a large array of topics, from professional development, tax issues and emergency response procedures to safety and government affairs.
