NBAA Says Airline-Backed FAA Proposal Threatens Jobs, Access, Economic Growth

WASHINGTON, DC, March 26, 2007 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced that Christopher Gryskiewicz of ExpressJet in Bloomington, MN, and Arden Potter, a student at Hampton University in Virginia, are the recipients of the 2007 ExxonMobil Aviation and the Avitats International Operators Scholarship.

NBAA and its International Operators Committee offer this scholarship in conjunction with sponsor ExxonMobil Aviation and the Avitats to benefit business aviation professionals engaged or wishing to be engaged in international operations.

The scholarship will be announced during the NBAA 34th Annual International Operators Conference, which will be held this week from March 26 to 29 in San Diego, CA. Any individual who currently is involved or aspires to become involved with international business aviation operations is eligible for this scholarship.

ExpressJet’s Christopher Gryskiewicz is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and aspires to fly internationally. He plans to use the scholarship funds both to attend the International Operators Conference and pursue NBAA Professional Development Program-approved classes at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Arden Potter is a dean’s list student at Hampton University and has worked for many years at an FBO in Antigua. He plans to use his scholarship funds to continue his education at Hampton and obtain added pilot ratings.
