Washington, DC, July 29, 2002 – In 2003, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and its Schedulers & Dispatchers Committee, in conjunction with seven corporate sponsors, will award a total of $35,000 in scholarship funds to select schedulers/dispatchers who seek to advance their professional development. NBAA is pleased to announce that two new sponsors – ChevronTexaco and Atlantic Aviation – join ExxonMobil and the Avitats, Signature Flight Support, Million Air, Air Routing, and Universal Weather and Aviation in making this scholarship possible.

ChevronTexaco Global Aviation is one of the largest U.S. suppliers of general aviation services, supplying a comprehensive network of more than 600 fixed based operators and distributors in North America and the Caribbean.

In addition to providing a full range of fueling and line services, ground transportation, catering, hangar and ramp space, Atlantic Aviation maintains and operates a growing national network of FBO business aviation facilities.

The Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship is one of nine scholarships offered by NBAA to promote professional development and business aviation careers. The 2003 Schedulers & Dispatchers Scholarship application form currently is available for download from the NBAA web site at www.nbaa.org/scholarships. Applications are due to NBAA by December 2, 2002.

NBAA represents the aviation interests of more than 7,100 companies which own or operate general aviation aircraft as an aid to the conduct of their business, or are involved with business aviation. NBAA Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion — a number that is about half the gross domestic product — and employ more than 19 million people worldwide. The NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world’s largest display of civil aviation products and services.
