NBAA Seminars Now on National Registry of CPE Sponsors

Washington, DC, August 17, 2000 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is proud to announce that it is a registered sponsor of the NASBA National Registry of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Sponsors, effective July 2000 to 2002.

NASBA – the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy – is a not-for-profit membership organization of the state boards of accountancy of the United States. The National Registry of CPE Sponsors is a highly selective listing that recognizes organizations offering continuing professional education courses for accountants in accordance with nationally recognized standards. For more information about the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, visit the NASBA Web site at www.nasba.org.

NBAA offers five registered Seminars to all members of the business aviation community:

  • Aircraft Resourcing Options Workshop
  • Flight Operations Manual Workshop
  • Small Flight Department Management Program
  • Tax Conference
  • Tax Forum

As in many professions, Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) must receive continuing education on a yearly basis. With NBAA now a registered CPE sponsor, CPAs can apply participation in the NBAA Seminars listed above toward meeting their states’ minimum annual requirements.

The first NBAA Seminars to qualify as NASBA CPE classes will be offered in conjunction with the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention this October in New Orleans. For more information on these Seminars or about how to register, contact NBAA at (202) 783-9283 or visit www.nbaa.org/2000/progschedule.htm.

NBAA represents the aviation interests of over 6,100 companies which own or operate general aviation aircraft as an aid to the conduct of their business, or are involved with business aviation. NBAA Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion — a number that is about half the gross domestic product — and employ more than 19 million people worldwide. The NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world’s largest display of civil aviation products and services.
