Washington, DC, October 5, 2001 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes its new Manager, Safety & Operations, Eric Ramsdell, whose responsibilities include representing the NBAA Membership in matters related to airman certification, aircraft equipage, and FAR Part 61 and 91. He will work closely with NBAA Members; NBAA’s Operations, Safety and Part 135 Committees; and representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board. Ramsdell joined the NBAA Staff on October 1.
With more than 20 years of aviation experience and over 10,000 flying hours, Eric is an excellent addition to the NBAA team,” stated NBAA President Jack Olcott.
Ramsdell has comprehensive experience in worldwide aircraft operations and extensive regulatory knowledge, and he is familiar with turbine aircraft certification and international operations approvals. He worked previously for Contract Aviation Services of Charlotte, NC, where he was responsible for contract pilot services, designing and writing training and corporate flight operations manuals and conducting training in international operations procedures. His previous aviation-industry experience includes work as director, international flight operations for United Dominion Industries of Charlotte, and as manager, charter operations for LADCO in New Hampshire. He also worked for Precision Airlines in Vermont.
An airline-transport-rated pilot, Ramsdell has several type ratings in business aircraft and has received several industry safety awards.
