Washington, DC, May 9, 2005 – National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) President and CEO Ed Bolen today commended President Bush for announcing his intention to nominate Edmund S. “Kip” Hawley as Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security (Transportation Security Administration). The White House announced Hawley’s nomination late last week.
“Kip is an organizational expert and an experienced Executive Branch executive,” said Bolen. “He was instrumental in the creation of the TSA and is well-versed in aviation issues as a result of his leadership of the FAA’s Air Traffic Committee. The President has made an excellent choice.”
