Washington, DC, August 11, 2003 – On August 4, Suzanne P. Cole joined the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Staff in the newly created position of senior manager, regional forums & static displays.

Prior to joining NBAA, Cole served as managing editor of Flying magazine, where she was responsible for the editorial management of a consumer title with 350,000 paid circulation. She also worked for five years as senior media liaison in the marketing department at GPS manufacturer Garmin International. In this role, she was responsible for a $3 million annual marketing program, launched all new consumer products and acted as company spokesperson.

“Coming from our industry, Suzanne has first-hand knowledge of the needs of NBAA Members and Exhibitors, and how to service those needs,” said NBAA Vice President, Conventions & Seminars Kathleen Blouin.

Cole’s work experience includes positions as vice president of national brand marketing for the Washington Redskins and as marketing and promotions manager for the Kansas City Convention & Entertainment Centers. She received a B.S. in journalism from the University of Kansas, graduating with distinction.

Following the successful founding of NBAA’s Business Aviation Forum & Static Display program, Cole was hired to take on all aspects of Forum planning, from budgeting and marketing to on-site management. The Forum is a day-long learning and networking experience designed to meet the needs of regional business aviation operators and vendors across the United States, featuring informative workshops and briefings on timely topics, indoor vendor stations and outdoor aircraft displays.

Cole’s other responsibilities for NBAA include marketing the NBAA Seminar Program and producing an Official Directory of Exhibiting Companies for not only the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention but also EBACE and LABACE, the premiere business aviation events of the European and Latin American regions.

NBAA represents the aviation interests of more than 7,300 companies that own or operate general aviation aircraft as an aid to the conduct of their business, or are involved with business aviation. NBAA Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion — a number that is about half the gross domestic product — and employ more than 19 million people worldwide. The NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world’s largest display of civil aviation products and services.
