NBAA Welcomes Sacha Carey as Vice President, Exhibits

Washington, DC, Feb. 28, 2022 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced that Sacha Carey, CEM, has joined the organization as its new vice president, exhibits.

Carey brings more than 15 years of experience in exhibition and event management to NBAA. As vice president, exhibits, she will work closely with the team responsible for all aspects of strategic planning and exhibitor relations for NBAA’s full suite of events, including the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), the Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference, the Maintenance Conference and NBAA’s Regional Forums.

“Sacha’s deep knowledge of the conference and exhibition space and strong leadership skills are perfectly attuned to NBAA’s commitment to bringing the business aviation community together again with educational and exciting in-person events,” said NBAA Senior Vice President, Events Chris Strong.

Carey joins NBAA from The Water Environment Federation (WEF). As WEF’s senior director, corporate development and industry relations, she was responsible for leading the sales team, budgeting, negotiating contracts, reporting and collaborating with marketing for all of the Alexandria, VA-based organization’s events.

Prior to WEF, Carey worked for the McLean, VA-based Food Processing Suppliers Association, where she handled international programs and membership prior to moving into the exhibition management position.

Carey received her Certified in Exhibition Management designation from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events in 2009 and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and International Association of Exhibitions and Events.

She currently serves on the Research Council for the Center for Exhibition Industry Research.

A member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society, Carey graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BA in Chinese Language and Literature. Carey, who is conversant in Mandarin Chinese, also lived and studied in Shanghai, China, and Taichung, Taiwan.
