Washington, DC, July 1, 2002 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is pleased to welcome three new employees to its Operations Department Staff: Jo Damato, Dan Wauhop and Jeff Evans. Since August 2001, these three employees have staffed the General Aviation (GA) Desk at the FAA Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC), developing it into one of NBAA’s premier Member services. As of today, their employment status changes from that of contractor to full-time NBAA employee.

Jo Damato is the NBAA manager, GA Desk, while Dan Wauhop and Jeff Evans are both GA Desk specialists. All NBAA Members benefit from their presence at the ATCSCC, since the GA Desk provides NBAA Members with face-to-face representation to the FAA on matters pertaining to the daily operation of the National Airspace System. Individual Members may obtain customized GA Desk service for an additional subscription fee.

For more information about the GA Desk, contact NBAA Director, Air Traffic Services & Infrastructure Bob Lamond at (202) 783-9255 or rlamond@nbaa.org.

NBAA represents the aviation interests of more than 7,100 companies which own or operate general aviation aircraft as an aid to the conduct of their business, or are involved with business aviation. NBAA Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion — a number that is about half the gross domestic product — and employ more than 19 million people worldwide. The NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world’s largest display of civil aviation products and services.
