NBAA’s 2022 International Operators Scholarships Help Careers Take Flight

Los Angeles, CA, March 15, 2022 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced the selection of five recipients of 2022 International Operators Scholarships. The International Operators Scholarship provides recipients with funding to pursue professional development within business aviation careers, with a focus on international operations.

The scholarship winners are:

  • Christopher Rozum: Rozum is a business aviation pilot with a small department; he started as a CFI nearly 20 years ago. He intends to use his funds to participate in the NBAA Safety Manager’s Certificate program. 
  • Molly Steahly: Steahly is finishing active-duty orders for the Air National Guard, and hopes to become a business aviation pilot when she enters the workforce. She plans to use the scholarship funds for the ATP Rating Course in Denver, CO. 
  • Joel Mink: Mink is a senior at Oakbrook Academy in Florence, KY. He will use the funds toward the AMT Program at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College to work toward his dream of becoming an aviation maintenance technician. 
  • Justin Gabaree: Gabaree is a business aviation pilot for Chevron, based in Texas. He is planning to use the scholarship to attend IS-BAO workshops.
  • Quintin Dupper: Dupper is operating a flight school out of Alabama. He intends to use the funds from the scholarship to attend Coastal Alabama Community College to begin training toward an A&P Certificate

The 2022 International Operators Scholarship was made possible by funding providing by the following donor companies:

  • UAS International Trip Support

Scholarship recipients will be honored this week at NBAA’s annual International Operators Conference (IOC2022), which takes place March 14-16 in Los Angeles, CA. At the conference, representatives from the sponsors and the IOC Committee will be present to recognize this year’s recipients. Learn more about IOC2022.
